Definitely not an Eristalsis sp (no loop in Vein R4+5)

But not definitively a Syrphus Sp either. The yellow bands seem to be too complete.

dark antennae but hasn't got black bases to the front femora

Which seems to lead to

Epistrophe diaphana

But definitely not sure.

Looking at Stephen Falk's pictures it isn't E diaphana either because it doesn't have a yellow face.

Thus ?
